A company called Ooks makes a line of picture hangers that leave a hole smaller than a finishing nail. I’ve used them and they’re great. In fact, I give packages of them as a housewarming present (ok, maybe it sounds tacky, but you’d be amazed at how popular the gift is). You can get Ooks at hardware stores and Home Depot.
